i loved, loved, loved this book. i put it down only because i had to go back to work. can't wait for the next one in the series. . . P.S., Dave, hurry up and start the third one.
I very much agree with Mr. Jackson's review. I also read an earlier version of Legend, and it's awesome to see where the author took it. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Could not read anything in this book sentences were not unreadable. I do not recommend this to anyone. It was not worth anything I have read before.
Wow. This story really took off, starting with a prologue about a wolf hunt in 1910 and then jumping into a suicide attempt in a cave, just before a giant wolf shows up. There area a lot of plot twists and characters, so it is not a simple read, but well worth the time. It is as much an adventure as it is a philosophical view of life and man versus nature. It is as though Fyodor Dostoevsky decided to write a book about wolves.
From the beginning of man, legends have been passed from generation to generation via storytellers. Usually based on an actual events, the fabric of legends is woven with elements of fact as well as fiction. Which is which is left to be determined by the listener..and in this case the reader.
If you love nature, "Legend" unveils the position of wolves on a grand scale. If you love truth, the tale points to the insanity of some men's relationship to wolves. If you love a good story, Legend is a must read.
